Who We Are
Metis Assets, LLC is a Peninsula and East Bay real estate solutions company built on a simple belief: that even the most complicated property situation deserves a straightforward path forward.
The name is intentional. In Greek mythology, Metis was the goddess of wisdom and strategic thinking — not the loudest voice in the room, but the most thoughtful one. That’s the approach we bring to every transaction. We don’t just make offers. We listen, assess, and find the solution that genuinely fits the situation — which is why the most common thing our clients say when it’s over is: “You made something that felt completely overwhelming feel simple.”
Our Background
That simplicity is harder to deliver than it sounds, and it’s the product of deep experience. Our founder spent over three decades on the Peninsula — growing up here, building a career in real estate as both an agent and investor — before establishing Metis Assets in Millbrae, the same community where the business is still rooted today.
That background means we understand Bay Area real estate from both sides of the table: what agents won’t tell you, what investors overlook, and what families actually need when they’re navigating a property that comes with emotional weight alongside its legal and financial complexity.
Who We Work With
We specialize in working with families, trustees, fiduciaries, and out-of-area property owners who need to sell as-is — without the staging, the open houses, the contractor parade, or the uncertainty that comes with a traditional listing.
Our clients are typically dealing with one or more of the following:
- An inherited property they’re not sure what to do with
- A probate or trustee sale with fiduciary obligations to protect
- A home packed with years of belongings that can’t be easily cleared
- A property requiring significant repairs before a traditional sale would even be viable
- A house that’s simply difficult to manage from a distance
For all of these, we offer the same thing: a private, confidential evaluation, a written offer purchased with cash or private financing, and a closing timeline that works around the estate — not around our calendar. No commissions. No hidden fees. No cleanup required before we walk through the door.
Our Core Values
Wisdom over speed
We named this company after the Greek goddess of wisdom for a reason. We don’t rush transactions. We think carefully, ask the right questions, and make sure the solution we offer is actually the right one for the situation.
Listen First
Before we make any offer, we listen. Every property situation is different, and the best solution only comes from understanding what the person on the other end of the conversation actually needs.
Integrity in every transaction
We say what we mean and do what we say. If our offer isn’t the right fit, we’ll tell you that too. The goal is a transaction that works for both sides — not one that just works for us.
Accountability
We show up, follow through, and take responsibility for our side of every transaction. Trustees and attorneys trust us with sensitive estate situations — that trust is earned by never cutting corners.
Discretion
The situations we work in often involve grief, family complexity, and legal obligation. We treat every transaction — and every client — with the discretion those circumstances deserve.
